1 Voile
Voile is a woven fabric which is soft, lightweight and sheer. It is usually 100% cotton though it can also be polyester. It has a very fine surface with a good drape and is best for letting in just that amount of light inside to make you feel some privacy at the same time being sheer.
2 Lace
Lace is a delicate fabric made of yarn or thread in an open weblike pattern, made by machine or by hand. Originally linen, silk, gold, or silver threads were used. Now lace is often made with cotton thread, although linen and silk threads are still available. Manufactured lace may be made of synthetic fiber.
3 Nylon net
Nylon net is an inexpensive option than lace. It has a knitted construction. It is not as fine as voile. But more suitable for direct sunlight as this doesn’t break easily in sunlight
4 Muslin
plain-woven cotton fabric made in various weights. The better qualities of muslin are fine and smooth in texture and are woven from evenly spun warps and wefts, or fillings. They are given a soft finish, bleached or piece-dyed, and are sometimes patterned in the loom or printed.
5 Organza
Organza is a thin, plain weave, sheer fabric traditionally made from silk. Many modern organza’s are woven with synthetic filament fibres such as polyester or nylon.
6 Chiffon
Chiffon is a lightweight plain-woven fabric with mesh like weave that gives it transparent appearance. The word Chiffon has a French origin which means a cloth. It is primarily made from cotton, silk or synthetic fibres like nylon, rayon and polyester.
7 Embroidered
Embroidered sheer fabrics are available in organza, chiffon, voile, muslin and nylon netting fabric types, gives outstanding and rich look to your house. These normally comes as mix and match with main curtain. So whatever design is your main curtain, same patterns will be embroidered in sheer curtains
