Pencil pleat is a simple traditional style of curtain. The fabric is sewn on top of a tape with strings that are pulled and gathered together to make small pencil shaped pleats. Pencil pleat curtains take up more room than a hand pleated heading. It suits all fabrics and is very popular for sheers. Pencil Pleat curtains can be made with an extra deep tape to achieve a 150mm elongated heading and can be hung on a rod or a track.
